ABOUT
Caroline De Cock (°1999) is an illustrator and graphic designer from Belgium. She completed her studies, Storyboarding & Illustration, at LUCA School of Arts in Ghent in 2020. While illustration has always been her greatest passion, she developed a keen interest in graphic design over the past few years. This led her to pursue further education in Graphic Design at LUCA in 2022, where she discovered her love for designing books and covers.
Caroline's freelance career began with her very first illustration project for the VTM telenovela LISA. Following her time at LUCA, she gained valuable experience working at Armée de Verre Book Design, immersing herself in the intricacies of book design. Currently, she is a full-time illustrator & graphic designer at Cartoonbase (Brussels), while also actively pursuing freelance opportunities on the side.
Her art is characterised by its vibrant and bright nature. She creates colourful and magical pieces, exploring various genres such as portraits, editorial illustration, book illustration, and even anatomical illustration. Her preferred tools include digital painting with Procreate, as well as traditional mediums like coloured pencils, gouache, and watercolours.
